It's easy to forget how well off we are in Canada. It happens to us all. So, here are just a couple reasons why Canada is the best country in the world to live:
We have the richest middle class in the world
We have the world's most educated population
Canada is the most admired country worldwide
The crime rate has been declining for over 20 years
Our national parks are world renowned and protect vast ecosystems
We have a vibrant array of cultures. Canada is known worldwide as a country where people of different ethnicities and backgrounds can live, study, work, and worship together in peace.
The Globe and MailLast but not least, we invented some amazing food. Poutine, maple syrup, Montréal smoked meat, Nanaimo bars... and best of all: ketchup chips!

Our 149 year history has had some rough spots for sure. But I think we turned out pretty well. Canada looks damn good for 149, and she just keeps getting more beautiful. Happy Canada Day!
